We give babies vitamin k to prevent fatal hemorrhages. The movement against it is an obscene example of anti science drivel. It’s a vitamin!!
Between 2017 and 2024, the percentage of newborns not receiving intramuscular vitamin K for prophylaxis nearly doubled, with refusal rates highest outside hospital births and among certain racial and ethnic groups.

anaphylaxis to rocuronium can be treated with sugammadex. this is simple and really neat.

anaphylaxis to sugammadex is more complicated:

😁 if rxn to sugammadex *alone* --> giving roc will make things BETTER

😫 if rxn to [sugammdex-roc] *complex* --> giving roc will make things WORSE

Misinformation and disinformation don't become facts just because the CDC posted them.
Numerous studies have refuted any link between vaccines and autism.
Zero studies have shown any link between vaccines and autism.
Real science matters.

In the dream, the trainee had to go ask them because they hadn’t yet.

I usually dream about real stuff, and

3/ The U.S. also spends far more on health care than any other wealthy nation, yet Americans live shorter, sicker lives. Infant & maternal mortality, chronic disease, and preventable deaths all rank near the worst. A key reason is that we underinvest in primary care and social supports.
