I deleted my twitter profile today. Wasn’t a particularly hard decision. But as a small remembrance of the good times there, I’ll repost the most viral image I’ve ever taken:

Drunken jamaican jerk whole chicken with curried collard greens and candied yams. $22 at the Atlanta United game.
Well. Now that I’m back home, that was possible the most demoralizing loss I’ve ever had the displeasure of watching. Maybe next year, Georgia Tech.

U.S. State Department confirms to @theathletic.com no exemption for World Cup fans from Haiti (under a U.S. travel ban). They say applicants may be considered “if their travel would advance a U.S. national interest… expect such exceptions to be very rare”

I’m really not surprised by the Democrats. They only exert effort to oppose their own candidates like Mamdani and nothing against the Republicans.

Caving for nothing means that Democrats are the ones responsible for the shutdown because they could have taken this shit deal weeks ago.

A 34-year-old as a politician: My god he's like a baby. It's like they just elected an infant to be their mayor.

A 34-year-old as an athlete: You have to admire the bravery of him attempting that dunk, knowing full well the grim reaper is right behind him.

Overstreet leads by about 3K in Atlanta with all regular categories reporting. The question is the provisionals but I would be very surprised if Malhotra pulls it off at this point.

The more I listen to Mamdani’s speeches, the more I wonder if the Republicans truly understand what they are doing when they gleefully cheer on that they’ll make him the face of the Democrats.

I think my take in Georgia is that the lefty candidates have been winning *except* when running up against someone with big name recognition. Explains why democratic socialist Kelsea Bond is winning in Atlanta along someone like the centrist Michael Julian Bond.

The Atlanta City Council President (i.e: the de facto cop city referendum) is razor sharp margins. I don’t think we’ll have an answer on that tonight

For those in the DSA, khalid kamau is losing very badly in south fulton, GA. He won’t be the mayor there much longer

The Republicans got absolutely smacked in Georgia in their statewide races. Stunning results and a terrible sign for the Republicans with next year’s gubernatorial race.

Trump’s open backing for Cuomo has got to be one of the biggest own goals I’ve seen in a while

Part of me genuinely wants this to happen, but part of me knows that if this does happen then the Dems will probably cave rather than hold firm.

Pretty incredible to see how the democrats *do* have a backbone when it comes to Mamdani challenging the status quo.

show this to every consultant who thinks chasing toxic masculinity is the way to getting going men's votes
85% of young men support Zohran Mamdani.
79% of young women support Zohran Mamdani.
67% of Jewish people aged 18-44 support Zohran Mamdani.
65% of Black people aged 18-44 support Zohran Mamdani.

Would you have guessed *any* of that with how the media has covered all this?

I wasn’t so sure back last November, but now I’m very confident that *the* biggest reason why Kamala Harris lost was because she endorsed Netanyahu’s war on Gaza and refused to show any sign of support for Palestine.

78% of Dem voters agreed with Mamdani’s belief that Israel was committing genocide in Gaza and 63% back his pledge to arrest Netanyahu. forward.com/fast-forward...

I thought that I was the most Luddite engineer when it came to the use of AI in my work, but boy was I completely wrong about that after hearing a few thoughts.

I don’t ever use it, but apparently unlike my colleagues, I don’t believe the use of it will lead to the dissolution of society.
