This is the least important part of condemning this take by a credulous idiot, but All In With Chris Hayes is mic'ed to sound like he is yelling in an empty hallway
I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.

this is literally going to strongarm every queer user into giving info after they declared every single lgbtq+ server to be "adult servers" years ago.

so now it's literally give us your info or lose access to your communities and resources.

fuck you discord.

"as it stands" are weasel words here. the moderate democrat position is that ICE needs to be abolished, when the democrat establishment leaders say "ICE as it stands needs to go" they mean they want some meaningless ICE reforms in exchange for sending them billions in funding
Everyone from Gallego to Pritzker is screaming that ICE as it stands needs to go, then Bluesky got mad that they weren’t at protests, then Klobuchar got attacked *for attending a protest* instead of Doing Something, the Senate Dems Did Something and a major tactical win and it gets branded a cave.

Utah lawmakers asked for a review of studies on gender-affirming care's effects on trans youth after passing a "moratorium." Records show they planned on publicly discussing the report — until it concluded the care is largely found to have positive outcomes.

Now, they're pushing a permanent ban.
Utah lawmakers sweep their own study on care for trans kids under the rug as they push to ban it
As Utah's lawmakers move to ban gender-affirming care for transgender kids, they've avoided discussing a report they commissioned on the issue that says care helps kids.

Abolish ICE is not enough.

Stern words for Greg Bovino or Kristi Noem is not enough.

We need prosecutions and trials.

Anything short of this position fails to address the gravity of this moment.

I think it is time for there to be blowback and a scandal for any elected Democrat even saying this sort of thing. You should be shamed for pretending this is a thing. We do not need this gesture anymore. The Republicans are the Nazi Party and Donald Trump is their Fuhrer.

I think it's important to keep in mind that Jeffries refused to whip on this issue, effectively giving them the green light from the party to do this

Again, the entire party is complicit here, not just these seven craven monsters.
