Ok, hold up. Scott Brown is on Fox News right now quoting something JD Vance said on Fox four years ago.

Who the hell remembers something like that? It's obvious that Fox News just uses these "talking heads" as crisis actors and is feeding them lines.

I’m horrified by the attack on two National Guard members today in D.C.

Praying for a full recovery and comfort for their families.

The violence has got to stop.

@aftynbehn.bsky.social For the first time in a month Trump has tweeted on twitter begging his drones to turn out for Matt van Epps. All caps, tons of characters, very scared tweet. The tweet of a coward and a loser. Hope Gavin, as slimy as he is, does a hilarious parody of that tweet. So pathetic...

Wow, if Bari Weiss is correct, a lot of Americans are about to be denied access to crucial life-sustaining resources, like homemade pierogies.

And I will go on to further say that "I'm Alright" was one of the last great albums of what I would consider to be country music's Silver Age (the late 80s and early 90s, the era of Garth, Reba, and George Strait, before the genre sort of fell into a post-9/11 era of deeply stupid Bro Country).
I'm not even a huge country fan, and it's a bit "basic", but it's probably got to be Jo Dee Messina's I'm Alright for me.

(I have to admit I never listened all the way through Outkast's Aquemini, Korn's Follow the Leader, or the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, though each had a few great tracks).

The finale of the great TV comedy show Blackadder goes Forth.
Back then I didn't expect one of the funniest programmes ever to end with a scene that makes me cry every time I see it.
Every single time.

I have to admit, when I was in law school, 20-odd years ago, the whole "separate sovereigns" doctrine that underlies why presidential pardons do not (as far as current law states) apply to state crimes confused the heck out of me.

It's not completely unimaginable that SCOTUS might decide to axe it.
BREAKING: Trump just issued a blanket pardon for 79 individuals related to the 2020 fake electors scheme, to try and rig the election.

NOTE: He can’t pardon State crimes even if he thinks he can. He’s clearly trying to normalize election rigging for 2026.

If you're angry at the Democrats, also, vote in the Democratic Primary in 2026.

I am shocked, SHOCKED to learn that Trump's healthcare proposal is idiot populism.
After nine years, Trump finally drops his healthcare plan. It's chaos. We'll smash the healthcare insurance system and take money away from the health insurance industry, while replacing it with nothing whatsoever.

I am struck daily just by what an absolutely awful site Facebook is.

Somebody hacked my account last week and 5 days later it still won't let me change my birthday back.

There's absolutely no real moderation anymore.

Full of ads and brainrot/AI slop.

Managing groups/pages is complicated.

Someone go photoshop stills from the courtroom scene in JFK and insert random Subway sandwiches.

Back, and to the left.
Seems like the guy who threw the sandwich at the federal agent is holding his own in the trial today.

I know it's kind of a stupid and sexist question but what is @abigailspanberger.com going to wear to her inauguration? Because Virginia seems to have this peculiar costume for swearing in governors (three piece suit with cravat and a white flower).

A six-inch sub is adequate for most purposes and you can carry more of them, but there's still going to be one old guy who insists "the footlong is the sandwich that won two World Wars" and that six-inch subs lack power.

(Insert "failure to feed" joke here).
It's not in this article but the government asserts that the sandwich was thrown at "point blank range", which implies subway sandwiches have defined effective weapon ranges of varying lethality, and I would like to see the government's chart of these ranges.
