Amazing news. Well done to Green School Runs, local communities, Camden councillors and council officers on this success 🚌
Big win for the 603 bus! 🎉
After months of campaigning, TfL will move the second afternoon service to 4pm from 5 January, so students living and studying along the route can finally use it on their way home.
A small change that means fewer car trips, safer journeys, and a better-used route. 😀

Trigger warning.

“In crashes, SUVs are more likely to strike vital organs in the core of adults’ bodies & heads of children. Hitting pedestrians above their center of gravity means they’re more likely to be knocked forward & down and then be driven over.”

Plus more likely to hit in the 1st place.

"Sadiq Khan will pocket an estimated £320m a year from motorists after hiking the congestion charge, The Standard can reveal" This is bordering on the misleading, if not actively so.
"Pocket" suggests he will himself get the money and sits within longstanding trend of misinformation about the mayor

Glad that someone has finally taken responsibility for the appalling assault on democracy that was the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Slightly confused that it's the Director-General of the BBC, but what do I know?

Absolutely. Chris Mason hyperventilating. Quite embarrassing.
For as many years as anyone been counting two or more inmates been mistakenly released from British prisons most weeks. Record does not make it acceptable. System needs to be fixed. It does leave me asking why BBC now gripped by end-of-civilisation hysteria heard on Radio 4 Today programme.

The story undeniably has some significance, but it's hard not to conclude that the balance is unhealthily skewed when first-tier elections in major European countries no longer make the BBC News frontpage, but a third-tier US election gets top spot.

Important piece by @byfordt.bsky.social @ecfrasia.bsky.social on the mistakes the EU is making by watering down rules on EVs. This will only slow the transition and leave European firms more exposed to Chinese competition. (Not to mention our security.)
