The amazing thing is that once upon a time the electrons and protons and neutrons in your body were just centimetres from this galaxy’s building blocks but we can never meet
A barred spiral galaxy, observed with the Apache Point 2.5m Telescope in the SDSS survey.

It is at redshift 0.039 (lookback time 549.7 million years) with coordinates (155.76054, 15.65037).

28 volunteers classified this galaxy in Galaxy Zoo 2.

Today's UK budget could have delivered for people and planet by taking on the rich and powerful.

But that's not what it did. 👇

If you have to put £8k into a taxable savings account instead of a cash ISA, and you're getting 4% interest, and as a higher-rate taxpayer your interest is taxed at 42%, then that'll cost you £134 a year. I don't think that's "big" relative to £100,000.

She could have invested in jobs & services.

This is still the supreme moment. Budgets are why we elect Labour governments. Rachel Reeves is actually one of the best Commons performers on any side of the House and a pleasure to listen to, if you like that sort of thing (I do).

Amazingly awful performance by Badenoch. She *knew* what was in the Budget because she had the OBR fiscal assessment and she didn't use it. That's missing five penalties in row scale of awful.
I am genuinely shocked about how bad she is at her job.

I’m quite surprised at the strength of my reaction to Farage. As the kids say, I’ve been triggered. Because he is the racist abusers I met in English schools who, 45 years ago, excused their abuse in exactly the same way.

Anybody who has ever been subjected to racist abuse will recognise Farage’s weasel words for what they are. He could have apologised but instead he pretends it didn’t matter. 1/3

Gill was constantly seen by Farage’s side since his first election - as a UKIP MEP - in 2014.

I’ve been in a room with Putin. He calls Ukrainians “Russians with accents.” His real fear isn’t NATO expansion, it’s democracy expansion. It shatters his entire argument for dictatorship at home. Because if Ukrainians embrace freedom, Russians may demand the same.

It's not good enough for them to insist that they're a low-cost airline and everyone knows the rules, in circumstances like this...

The “deal” deprives Ukraine of everything it has won by withstanding Russian aggression and defending the borders of Europe.

It rewards Russian lawlessness—and makes America complicit in the lawlessness.

It’s the end of post WWII American power.

Trump’s ‘deal’ on Ukraine is this generation’s Munich Agreement. In 38 Czechoslovakia wanted to fight but was pressed to surrender. Have Europe’s leaders learned anything since then? We’re about to find out.
