I would not be bicycling in Pittsburgh if I didn't start off with an ebike. Although I now generally use regular bikes, my ebike gave me the confidence and power to start riding around this hilly city until I was able to take over on my own.

Even so, I could benefit from an ebike for some journeys.

Think about the implications elsewhere...

​If ebikes double the acceptable commute range in a "flat country with perfect bike lanes", they are an absolute game changer everywhere else. Combining ebikes with even basic safe infrastructure is the fastest way to shift mode share globally.
