Made my 4x FT on the 6th, and here were are on the 13th ready to roll.

VVD has a stay of execution, but I still wish I had never brought him in. Let’s see if he can do ANYTHING against BHA.

Plotting moves to Waitrose Bruno from GW18/19. Could be FH 19, and then FTs in 20…

Exclusion of donors is a big one. It shouldn’t be pay to play.
My Lords Reform would be

1 Cap the numbers at 50% that of the Commons, as in Australia
2 Single term of 10-15 years
3 As in Canada, each region has a set number of members. I’d give the devolved parliaments and English counties a say in appointing members for each region.
4 Exclusion of donors
A good question. I favour its complete reform, but at least to make it function as part of a democracy we need:
1. Term limits (I suggest 5 years, renewable once)
2. Members appointed by independent body, not PM
3. Cap on total number of members
4. Stop giving them silly titles, it’s embarrassing

Despite what you hear from fossil fuel-funded politicians, the U.K has just generated a record amount of clean, domestic wind energy.

Enough to power 23 million homes!

U.K decarbonisation policy is a recipe for energy security.

Did some much needed surgery before price rises.

Envious of those who can save the FTs for a while, my team / season is so bad I’ve been hanging out for this.

Raya for Sanchez
Ruben for Calafiori (who is suspended)
Bruno G for Gakpo
Thiago for Pedro

Hopefully get some core stability now.

It’s a funny old Celtics season, this, but tonight’s b2b, down 2 players grind-out win was fun to watch and will go down as one of the best wins of the season, I’m sure.
The Celtics got in at 2am because their flight got delayed. They were down 2 starters on second half of a back-to-back. Gutsy road win vs. the Cavs.

Pritchard 42 points, one shy of career-high
Walsh's best statistical game: 14 Pts, 11 Rebs
Brown triple-double: 19 Pts, 12 Rebs, 11 Asts

Poor goal to lose by Palace, that. Defence should have done better, keeper could have done better.

This is amazing.
We have four adults, one child, and two stuffed animals this year so naturally she made 8 pies (she actually made 9, one for the handyman to take to his mom)

I like my pie like I like my dogs - pretty much all of them, all kinds, all the time, the more the merrier.
Apple pie is bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie, while we’re on the topic. Pecan pie is the 🐐 tho.

Phil Knight is almost single handedly funding the OR GOP, one of the more extreme state GOPs in the country. Keep that in mind next time you’re in the market for sportswear or sneakers. www.oregonlive.com/politics/202...

It is the single largest donation Knight has made to an Oregon candidate or political action committee.

I really like Lewis Goodall, but framing it as “Reeves nightmare budget” when we don’t know any details is really poor journalism.

And I’m no Labour apologist - check my timeline.

Less sensational soundbites and hyperbole, more fact-based journalism please.
Was a true pleasure to go to Nottingham to interview Ken Clarke, truly the archetypal big political beast.

In an extended conversation, we talk about Reeves nightmare Budget, his long political journey and his fears for where politics might go next.

This.

I've seen all sorts of bizarre takes on Trump today.

He is a coward bully. His behaviour is classic coward bully behaviour.

When confronted with someone who isn't cowed by him, he fawns to remove any threat from the situation. Simple.

And if someone confronts him, he blusters and bullies
Bullies understand one thing: power. Always call their bluff, never bend a knee to the propaganda they peddle.
I hope @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social is proud of how he beclowned himself earlier on that socialism resolution.

Get Hakeem Jeffries the fuck outta here.

NOT the leader we need for our times.
The House of Representatives voted 285–98 in favor of a resolution condemning socialism.

86 Dems joined Republicans in supporting the measure, incl. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.
