Also a fun Dad thing I'll share, not about politics so not buried in the thread: he made his own calendar every year, and it always featured cute cat pictures he found on the internet.
There's a good thread going around about men not seeing the logistics work that women do, which is definitely a real and true thing that happens way too fucking much, but it also makes me so grateful for my dad and I miss him so much.

I don't know why but I was pretty sure this week was the final of Jet Lag and I'm sooooo delighted to be wrong, omg.

After four and a half months I have finally beaten Silksong. True final boss, 88% completion, 130 hours. WOW, what a game.
I can't wait until a #silksong speedrunner shows me how to farm the 25 spines in a speedy but complicated fashion I will never be able to replicated
Also I don't believe I asked for a giant boss fight coming out of this?? Rude.

After four and a half months I have finally beaten Silksong. True final boss, 88% completion, 130 hours. WOW, what a game.
It feels impossible, but 20 years ago today I shoved as much of my stuff as would fit into a couple of suitcases and hopped a bus to NYC, to live on my sister's couch until I found a job and a place to live.
(I did not move out, and we now co-own an apartment.)

Half the battle with this guy is just reiterating government can and already does good things that are so ubiquitous they’ve become invisible. He’s able to remind you in a way that you understand that good government can exist outside of a 24/7 vengeance operation, and in NYC already does.

I should know better than to think I'd get anything done on the final day of GDQ. Going to the gym would be great but there's a Windwaker run coming up and under $300,000 to unlock Silksong.
