crazy to me that when someone makes a post like "heres why this company doesnt deserve your money" theres always people that come running to say "yeah! i only give them money for the things that i like and thats it!"
every few years it's revealed that the NYT was sitting on information about some horrific thing that public knowledge of would have changed the country's course and for some reason a ton of people still give them money. you can play those games on other sites

This is less a subtweet, and more of a thought I just want to get out there:

Bad people can make good art.

When a game that people liked turns out to have been made by someone shitty, it doesn't instantly become bad. You don't have to go full Sour Grapes on it. Two things can be true at once.

How a flawed idea is teaching millions of kids to be poor readers
For decades, schools have taught children the strategies of struggling readers, using a theory about reading that cognitive scientists have repeatedly debunked. And many teachers and parents don't kno...

sometimes i feel like the republican party is a big tornado that is coming to kill me. and the democratic party is the rickety shed that i'm hiding in. and i say "we should really fix this shed, because it's not doing much." and people say "what? why aren't you criticizing the tornado instead?!"

posted a picture of scatterbug in a discord server and people keep saying "theres not a single thought in his head." no you dont understand. there is so much going on in that cats head. his abundance of thoughts are a plague on our household.

actually easier to get my vet to answer questions about my cats health than for my human doctor to answer questions about my routine shit. make it make sense.

i get that doctors are busy and all but itd be great if i could call my new doctors office and get an actual answer from my new doctor for a simple question like "do you want me to get my bloodwork done that ive been getting done every 6 months for the last 10 years?"

Just thinking again how Democrats asked people to accept short-term suffering in order to give space to prevent long-term, worse suffering and then said, "Thanks for suffering in the short-term. You'll get to suffer long-term too so that our Thanksgiving plans don't get disrupted."

had a dream i had to move away and in my new town huge tumbleweeds would regularly roll down the street. but one time i misidentified something as a tumbleweed when it was actually a different big rolling plant and everyone made fun of me.

It dismays me a lot when I see other people in my life spend a lot of time reflexively apologizing, overexplaining, or "predicting" criticism that may or may not ever come because I know too well that comes from being heavily criticized at developmentally impactful points in their life
