Just a reminder that ICE didn't exist until 2002. It's not some longstanding institution that must be maintained. It was created as a knee-jerk reaction to 9/11, and it could be gotten rid of as easily as it was created.

Calling the press “fake news” is harmful. Calling them “seditious, perhaps even treasonous” for publishing reporting is something else entirely. Treason is a capital crime. Suggesting journalists should face it for exercising their First Amendment rights and doing their jobs is dangerous.

The Pentagon law of war manual does not have a “they have to be incapacitated” exception to the rule that firing upon a shipwreck is a war crime. We certainly did not give a pass to Germans who did that to our shipwrecked sailors; we executed them.
