Guys maybe the number one obstacle to organizing here in Minneapolis is the unfounded fear that if you get involved, DHS will put you on a list and assassinate you. I've been sent video from the end of the ICE raid at the Zipps on 32nd and Shea.
It shows protesters -- on the sidewalk, impeding no one -- getting drive-by maced by an ICE agent from a truck as it rolls away down the road.
Hard to see how such tactics are justifiable.

All sorts of groups are always spending money to “gin up these people” about their cause. Thing is, it never generates a turnout like this bc people will only take action for things they are truly passionate about

I want to say this too: this victory was won because we had observers EVERYWHERE. ICE and CBP couldn't set foot in our city without cameras rolling. Much of the nation seemed determined to ignore our plight for weeks, but the avalanche of documentation we produced dragged the nation to us.
