This year I was emotionally abused by a romantic partner who talked to me in a way that made me feel sexually violated. Strictly speaking I never said no to her. But there were power dynamics at play and my consent would often be assumed. (1/13)

I love games like Hollow Knight and Silksong cuz I am a sucker for those pockets of quiet, almost blissful dread in video games where there’s no enemies, no boss in the room—just melancholy music, green-apocalypse backdrops, & space to really feel how small you are in a vast, dead, beautiful world.

this is true. it's also true for all cops, and has been for a very, very, very long time. I don't think we can meet the moment without acknowledging that videos of cops/agents hurting people are essentially recruitment tactics for the people they want to hire more of
One thing that comes through awfully clearly in these ICE videos is how many of these goons gravitated toward the job because being able to assault people with impunity is a big thrill for them.
