We had no way of anticipating how the car would revolutionize the landscape. With it came highways, streets, drunk driving, day trips to the sea, road rage, etc etc. We weren't intentional in how we adopted the car nor how we adopted the EMR. What culture do we intend to create with AI? 10/10

I’m excited to share "Anatomy of a Decision," a new resource that uses the "Narrative Laboratory" of Grey’s Anatomy to teach rigorous Medical Ethics. 🩺📖

Bioethics doesn't have to be sterile. We’re taking the drama of Grey Sloan Memorial and putting it under the philosophical microscope to explore:

Sorry, but I just don’t believe that creating more medical schools will solve the crisis of primary care. We have to actually address why this job is unsustainable for many practicing docs and unattractive to students and trainees. #fmsky

every dollar our government spends on “maternity homes” for juicing the #adoption industry’s domestic infant supply is a dollar not spent on giving pregnant women the support they need to keep their own children

This is Minneapolis:

I’m at a major healthcare clinic (just here for a friend) and overheard the front desk staff mention they’ve had 97 missed appointments today.

People aren’t getting medical care bc they’re afraid to leave home.

what if you take every "new year, new you" you see this year and

change the meaning from "make yourself smaller because smaller is better, make sure you're never too big"

change the meaning to "fatness is neutral, fatness is good, take fatness off the criteria list for how you eat"

Would love to see similar critiques of AI from medicine, yet all I see is absolute nonsense about regaining our “humanity” via the slop machine.

I've seen people say that getting attached to ChatGPT is like "believing the stripper really loves you", but that's not true. It's more like believing that the dryer personally composed that little jingle on a lonely sockless night just to win your affections.

Then she died.

We don't want those men. They are the hot dogs on the floor of humanity and we still have all these nice prepped hamburger patties if someone would just let them cook.

The MMR shot is safe and effective, and there is no credible evidence otherwise.

Breaking MMR into three shots means 3x more copays at the doctor’s office, 3x more hours of missed work, 3x more bummed out kiddos, and probably more than 3x as many kids who aren’t fully vaccinated.
