Do I know anyone going to Uptown parades near the beginning of the route on Lundi Gras or also Rex Mardi Gras morning? I'm changing my plans a bit to help a pet sitting client Uptown with a family emergency so I won't be near home in the Quarter.

Some lady had chairs set up and was just sitting in the middle of a streetcar stop, making it hard to get off the street car without stepping into traffic.
I told her it must be nice to not have a job and just do fuck all all day.

I heard about a killing of a Black man in DC by US marshals on a call from someone in the neighborhood then saw it confirmed by the organization @harrietsdreams.bsky.social & here. A Black man in DC was killed by the state today. Make the same noise for him as for anyone else when we have his name.

RIP Bud Cort. My favorite movie of all time, hands down forever, is Harold and Maude. I wish we'd gotten more films for him to showcase how wildly funny, sharp, and truly singular he was. But most actors don't even get ONE performance like Harold and Maude, so that counts for 100. I love you Bud.🖤

Based on videos I've seen of their careless driving, recklessly ignoring stoplights when they are not in pursuit, and pulling pit maneuvers on city streets — this was bound to happen.
"Following traffic laws" isn't really reformable if it's already the law.

Today, ICE engaged in a dangerous, high-speed chase in Saint Paul. Their recklessness and disdain for the safety of our residents led directly to a multi-car collision, even if ICE vehicles weren't the ones to hit other cars.

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.
