Think I’ve done quite well focusing through media series w/o starting many new things.

Could go for extra time though as I find myself jonesing for some sci-fi.

The idea of a Battlestar Galactica rewatch (+ OG?), The Expanse and Stargate are all rattling in the back of my brain.

S’lotta episodes.

This is simply not technically possible. You cannot generate enough writing in-house to train an LLM. You cannot generate enough art in-house to train a GAN. People who think they have a model "trained on our own material" are using a base model of mass-scraped data, unknowingly or disingenuously.
Larian CEO says Divinity could have gen AI assets in it but only if the tools are trained on the studio's own data.

"If we use a GenAI model to create in-game assets, then it'll be trained on data we own."

When I get back to them, novels feel the same despite being complete works & not episodic releases.

I’m more satisfied chapter a day over 3 weeks for a handful of stories than tearing through 1 in 4 days.

Historically, even stuff like Dune WAS originally a periodical released in parts over a year.
January 9, 2026 at 5:50 PM
Probably don’t continue Cow til Spawn is done, 3 giant continuities is already too much. X books only get 2+ cuz it’s impossible to do otherwise.

Hope to get back to my 2x2x2 daylong strategy. Reading any more regularly feels too time consuming & less/longer 3x3 sessions drag and lose my attention.
January 9, 2026 at 5:40 PM
I feel wrong reading or watching multiple weeks/months of a story back to back, hence my 1 per day intent.

Can cheat on Valiant reading 2 series & Spawn works with 1 main book + 1 spinoff w/o breaking continuity. Cow a bit harder but it’s basically just Witchblade/Darkness/Tomb Raider & maxiseries.
January 9, 2026 at 5:40 PM
Beyond that I’m pretty free of multi-book long reading orders forever. Biggest stuff is like 6 months real time to read 5-10 years of material.

Pretty freeing. This all assumes western civilization survives long enough for me to reach this level of contentment liberated from my own compulsions.
January 9, 2026 at 5:25 PM
Likewise I have a week or so of comic catch-up again, then think I can maintain new releases and a varied pace to be through Spawn this year + both classic Valiant and Top Cow no later than the end of 2027.

Should be fluid that I can do 1-2 per a day + X & maintain my soft cap 6 chapter enjoyment.
January 9, 2026 at 5:25 PM
After that I’d really like to shoot for a 1 one hour and 1 half hour series at a time no more than 5 days + a movie twice a week.

Again, nothing else I really feel compelled to binge or work through entire years of a franchise non-stop in sequence.
January 9, 2026 at 5:17 PM
Toying a bit more think I’ve found a comfortable way to accelerate Rangers with 2 different seasons in a routine I don’t feel the need to hit every single day.

Possibility it gets me through it all yet this year, maybe not, but quicker than another 19 months.
January 9, 2026 at 5:17 PM
Also added to my collection of Draculas.
January 9, 2026 at 12:55 AM
On a fun note, while toy collecting is untenable at the getting-entire-lines rate of a couple years ago, I did ship a big batch of new X-Men.

The new ‘97 wave with Jubilee, Sunspot, Emma Frost, Morph & Cable + Strong Guy, Rachel, Feral, Astonishing cat Beast & Iceman (which completes my OG 5).

Too much on my backlog to sit & reread in full but flipped through Gillen’s run and am reminded how much I dig Eternals as a comic concept.

Annoyed at both the creative liberties the movie took especially characterizing Deviants + that its threads have had no MCU followup approaching 5 years later.

Recognizing there are 8 billion more important things going on, state of monoculture-less media marketing drives me nuts.

As keyed in as I usually am, there are still countless movies & multi-season shows starring A-list actors that I never know exist until years after they’re dumped on a service.
January 7, 2026 at 11:41 PM
Perfect blend for me has been 3 things throughout the day in 50-ish page sections - 2, 2 and 2.

But that’s still rushed pace, think I more enjoy one segment of each story beside the infinity amount of X books to do.

I will be more at ease with time once past these long multi-book reading orders.
January 7, 2026 at 10:36 PM
Really want to get back to a point of 3 different series issues/chapters in the morning + 2-3 X at night rather than stop/start reading as the day permits.

But also would like these 100s of issues long reads wrapped not much past this year to cycle in more frequent variety going forward.
January 7, 2026 at 10:36 PM
Likewise been tearing through Spawn 4+ issues a day, then X-Men & rarely anything else.

If I want to be caught up this year I’d have to continue 2/day til April. Same if I start back up classic Valiant too(Top Cow paused awhile)

New release backlog already a couple weeks piled up.
January 7, 2026 at 10:36 PM
Don’t like stacking a series, but watching 2 different seasons I inevitably like one more & would rather watch that than alternate.

But finishing sooner really frees me up. No other need to binge any whole series + could balance movie time twice a week better w/o desire to churn episodes same day.
January 7, 2026 at 10:26 PM
Did the math & if I’m to finish Rangers in 2026, all nearly 1,000 episodes and 3 decades in 2 years, I have to watch 2 episodes every day from now to July 2nd, and then 1 a day after.

Not sure I justify turning it into a chore to free time up half a year earlier.

losing my mind at the "she should have followed directions" people

really? really? you're cool with "if you don't follow directions, they get to kill you"? that seems like a good state of affairs to you? that seems like how law enforcement ought to work: instant obeisance or death?
