part of this is like, conservatives projecting; part of this is conservatives unable to imagine politics without money; and part of this is dudes who are so out of touch with feminized labor that they think children's birthday parties exist as a spontaneous act of parthogenesis
I mostly just stay off Twitter altogether but after double checking that the Walter Hudson post was still up I ran across this and just had to share so the Romancelandians who bought hand warmers could hear about the PROFESSIONAL GRADE LOGISTICS.

i suppose it makes sense but it is completely demoralizing that we live in a moment where there is more video/photographic evidence (often from multiple angles) than ever before and also a durable system in place for propagandists to gaslight or convince others into not believing their eyes

a thought so intrusive it has caused me to do this out loud ever since I read it
Legally, it should be a requirement that any beeping appliance instead of beeping, simply says its own name, like a Pokémon

Another common thread between Chicago and Minneapolis enduring these occupations:
Another thing you should know about the Twin Cities, if you're not here, is that while the mayor and governor tell us to stay calm on TV, our council members and other local electeds are on the street patrolling and protecting neighbors, doing mutual aid, and otherwise serving the community.

Have never seen so much gas. It's not a competition, Chicago endured horrors upon horrors, but this was just relentless

Still fucking coughing 🚬
There is so much tear gas in the air it can be felt driving on the other side of highway 94 in Minneapolis - in your car.

Dismantling the Meme Logic Behind Renee Good’s ICE Execution

This should be a historic city-crippling blizzard man. We should all be waking up tomorrow to three feet of snow and no power and cars abandoned on Lake Shore Drive. This is what they took from us

The sheer number of videos of the shooting is horrific, but in the vein of what @prisonculture.bsky.social has been saying, it proves how many people cared enough to show up where ICE was and record them. It wasn't just one or two legal observers, and when Good was shot, they didn't abandon her.

not saying it can't get worse but this week really feels like a straightforward depiction of what worst-case 'post truth' information apocalypse ppl were warning of in the late 2010s

It's nothing everyone doesn't already know, but ICE/CBP guys know they can do whatever they want. They're the absolute dregs of the Violence Worker Community, not trained for anything like what they're doing, out of their depth, all that. But it starts with them knowing they won't face consequences.

ICE observers in the Twin Cities are in need of dash cams to prevent further intimidation and frivolous claims.

Cams are $110, memory cards $35, and ship to us directly via this wish list: www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/...

If you've been looking for a way to help, we'd sure appreciate it!

Our ability to tell fact from fiction—even when the facts are right in front of you—is nearly gone. This is not going to end well.

You know I’m a Food Guy, and Paprika is where all my recipes live. It’s a no-nonsense, pragmatic, workhorse kitchen app. If you know what a mise is, this is the recipe app you want.
The single most useful cooking app I use, Paprika, is on its annual sale

You give it links and it pulls and formats the recipe for you so you can save it and look at it in the future without ads or long narratives

I use it on my phone, so here’s the link apps.apple.com/us/app/papri...
