But I know that things won’t be this bleak forever.
I ran against a MAGA incumbent in a “safe red” district in KY as a progressive, openly queer, 28-year-old trans woman.
And I won.

I’m thankful for all of the benches. Makes walking with a cane on uneven ground much more bearable when you can take frequent brakes.
Katherine and I have started taking semi-regular walks at a cemetery that's on the way home from one of her doctor's offices. I'm looking forward to when it's cooler out, but there's lots of shade and benches for when she needs a break.
