Basically, I'm interested in hearing about what it's like when multiple generations are job-searching at the same time, especially given the state of the job market. [email protected], Signal rstauff.20, or message here!

One small thing you can do today: ICE is ramping up in Maine. Food For All is delivering meals to 300 families that can't leave their homes. They need $7k a day to continue operations. The Culture Study community is raising enough to cover a day—join us?

We’re basically watching a civil war, but you still have to pay rent, walk your dog, care for your kids, heal your broken heart, go to your appointments, send those emails, and all of it just keeps going. The personal victories and failures still exist, while our government executes people.

It's almost 2 hours before the hockey game in Minnesota, & neither the NHL nor the Minnesota Wild have postponed it. Nor has anyone made any official comments about what happened - including the visiting team, the Florida Panthers. (Which is hardly surprising, because they're the Florida Panthers.)

Sure, I guess we'll never know how the founders would have felt about LGBTQ rights or double jeopardy or whatever but you know what we do know? How they felt about a tyrannical government's roving militias gunning down people in broad daylight.

It’s very frustrating to hear mainstream reporters continue to characterize what ICE, CBP and others as “immigration enforcement.” Even now. Like if you don’t know what this is about at this point I don’t know how to help you.

This is so good, for those of us wondering how (and why) to cook dinner in the face of fascism.

There's also been a shift in character in activism.

In Trump's first term, the big actions were symbolic protests designed to make a narrative impact.

In Trump's second term, we are seeing actions designed to practically frustrate an authoritarian crackdown on civil liberties.
One of the big trends in opposition activism during Trump 2.0 has been the localism of protest. This level of organizing is pretty astonishing to watch, and anyone who insists that there haven't been any protests against Trump is simply ignoring it www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...
