I read this book over the Christmas/NY break of 2020/21 and it remains the best work of science writing for an intelligent lay audience I have come across (so far.) There's an outline in the alt text and their is not room for me to say much here but the title sums it up.

I’ve said this before but AOC is one of McBride’s most steadfast supporters in Congress and has defended McBride from so much of the transphobia she faces. I regularly see her go out of her way to say hi to McBride or walk out of votes together.
