Electrical issue?

Watch the flight. Air Force One in a holding pattern doesn’t sense when it has priority over every other aircraft in the sky. If it needed to land, it could have dumped fuel and gone straight back.

Pilots out there, what say you?

The choice is impeachment and removal or calamity for the United States. I don't see how anybody watching Trump's speech in Davos can draw any other conclusion. He's a senile madman.

Here's how WaPo and the Times
handled this.

The Times didn't mention the anti-Somali racism. WaPo simply said Trump "revealed his thoughts about Somalia."

WaPo cited Trump praising Hell's Angels without noting he did it while attacking "vicious people" from "the Congo."

Canada has become a leader on the global stage defending democracy. Trump will be turning his rage on us.
Canada's military are already planning out the "what ifs" - a counter-insurgency defence of Canada that will destroy the American empire.
This is no drill.

Absolute parallels here
Calling in favours, Smallbones organises a meeting between senior people in the Home and Foreign Offices. Insists a refugee scheme needs creating.

He's told that everyone agrees what's happening to the Jews is awful, but a refugee scheme would be politically unpalatable. So nothing can be done. /6

German Jews were citizens of Germany at the start of 1933. By the end of 1933, the Nazis had
removed citizenship from naturalized citizen Jews.

In 1935, all German Jews were fully stripped of their German citizenship.

Citizenship under dictatorships is contingent for targeted minorities.

I've been thinking about this a lot, for months: Gaza was a breaking point between verifiable reality and liberal governance. "AI" sparks fears ppl will believe things that aren't true, but Gaza SHOWED things that WERE true—& western governments, universities & news outlets pretened they were not.
What did we think Trump was going to do, if Europe showed him we would fully collaborate on the total destruction of the Gaza Strip and ferociously repeat even the most absurd lies about it to our citizens? Did we think he would decide: best to not push the law breaking and war crimes, be sensible.

Bold prediction time for the aftermath of local elections :

1. Both Badenoch and Starmer will get replaced as party leaders.

2. The new PM will have very different rhetoric, but policy will be basically the same as under Starmer.

3. Big gains for Reform (boo!) Greens (yay!) and Lib Dems (boo!)

This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again.

Sickening.

It’s notable that the president can go on TV and be a total gutter racist, and somehow this isn’t news in the slightest. Says a lot about the sickness of American society right now.
Trump: "They're paid agitators and insurrectionists. Nobody talks about the fact that $19 billion at a minimum is missing in Minnesota, given to a large degree by Somalians. They've taken it. Somalians. A lot of very low IQ people."
