Thompson said in a statement “Mobile Fortify is a dangerous tool in the hands of ICE, and it puts American citizens at risk of detention and even deportation.” He also said “ICE officials have told us that an apparent biometric match by Mobile Fortify is a ‘definitive’ determination of a person’s status and that an ICE officer may ignore evidence of American citizenship—including a birth certificate—if the app says the person is an alien. ICE using a mobile biometrics app in ways its developers at CBP never intended or tested is a frightening, repugnant, and unconstitutional attack on Americans’ rights and freedoms.”

I agree with Doug on this one. The AIRPORT copy is pretty watchable, but the action half just isn't. It's always my problem whenever I try to join the Cannon fan brigade. They're a big part of why I stopped watching action movies in the '80s. Their politics are awful AND their action SUCKS.

The Shout Factory news is getting worse every day because private equity is involved.

Kind of want to do some ~investigative journalism~ on my own about this but don't have a platform anyone pays attention to.

Marc from OrbitDVD says according to his sources at Shout Factory, most of the physical media team has been laid off or quit. He doesn't think physical media releases will be "moving forward" under their new ownership.
