One of my favorite creators, Pop Arena, has made video companions explaining the history of every title that ran on Nickelodeon in the 80s and 90s. This is such an impressive feat. It seems like they're having some trouble re: income and housing right now. Please help if you can.

When I was homeless in 2019, the stress activated a strange hyperthyroid-like condition where I was losing a ton of weight and I needed to eat around 4k-5K calories a day to stay a healthy weight. I used my SNAP to by the most calorie dense foods possible, and these were things like snack cakes. 1/2
study after study after study shows that literally just handing people money and telling them "do what you want with this" reduces homelessness, increases food security for children, makes it more likely people will find and retain jobs.1

When designs I did printed in large format and on installation day no one is calling me yelling I take it as a sign of it’s fine, I can start breathing again and I think I need a fucking week sleep to recover from.

so many companies say they are replacing people - laying them off - with automated systems, AI. but there has been no real auditing or regulatory approach to vetting such claims. i am deeply skeptical. think a lotta the cuts are just due to failures to sell or cut costs & prior over hiring.
