The revocation of TPS for Haitians is just making me so angry. These are people who escaped a horrific situation, followed the rules, and have become part of communities across the U.S. And now this regime just wipes out their status and has the gall to smear them as "illegal."

i gotta say one more thing

having worked in animation for years now, calling this "animated" is a fucking mortal insult. completely get fucked. animation is a creator thoughtfully and painstakingly giving something life. this is fucking nothing compared to animation

Players thinking/behaving differently when they’re within a mystery rather than reading it at a remove is one of the most important and difficult lessons to wrap your head around

Sorry to be a wet blanket but I hate this shit
Alison Luchs, who has worked at the National Gallery of Art for 47 years, agreed to learn Gen Z slang and make videos because she wanted to raise interest in the museum’s art.

I can't tell you how excited I am to see people working to replace the ADL, which has lost all legitimacy to speak on the topic.
NEW: Today, we’re excited to announce the creation of the Nexus Center for Antisemitism Research (NCAR), which will work to improve the quality of research, data, and analysis available to advance the broader mission of confronting hate and promoting Jewish safety.
Senior ADL antisemitism researcher leaves to lead competing effort at watchdog Nexus - Jewish Telegraphic Agency
Aryeh Tuchman will direct a new Nexus research center focused on improving data, definitions and public understanding of antisemitism.

this is the apotheosis of individualist, consumerist philosophy. The only legitimate activities available to the free citizen are 1) purchase product, 2) leave negative review. All conceptions of freedom and its limitations are based on that.
Joe Rogan is so stupid he thinks it’s a gotcha that Minnesota protests are “coordinated” and that some activists message each other on Signal

i get the distain for "we spoke to 14 inbred hogs at a diner" stories but i think we should let them talk so we can bully them afterwards. i don't know how you get to a less bad nation without it. i don't want to fix their hearts, i want them to shut the hell up and be afraid to spew this bullshit

They are SO great. Just to have em in your hands. Whenever I stop by the LCS I have to buy one. They could have so easily been lazy and removed the period ads, but they didn’t.!!
a genuinely nice thing: DC's terrific "facsimile" newsprint reprints. they *are* occasionally bowdlerized but I absolutely love having a wrinkled New Gods no. 1 on grayish newspaper to thumb through. the colors pop and the story beats are so much clearer

This is all stupid bullshit but I remain pretty disgusted at how things like marriage and having children are treated like Xbox achievements instead of actually loving and caring for someone else. Yeah I’m going to work 70 hours a week but definitely need a spouse, her name is Beth or something idk

I will forever adore Yo Yo Ma's many recordings of Bach's cello suites but relative up-and-comer Anastasia Kobekina brings an expressiveness to her rendition that I find surprising and moving
