Couple this with David Lammy going to meet with the Council of Europe this week to water down the definition of torture. Another kapo in charge of aligning Britain with fascism.
They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.

The kids might not believe this, but Iraq-level all-channels media shitehousing and hate campaigns against members of the public were once quite rare, and reserved for core national priorities. We now get about seven or eight a year, because the system has become pretty reliant upon them.

I get a surprisingly large number of responses saying “This is because the public are stupid” but for real, if that was the key issue, then it wouldn’t be necessary to constantly shitehouse people with the most misleading and inflammatory messages they can get away with. There would be no need.
It is IMO not possible to operate any kind of meaningful democracy when your national press is a joke and a travesty, but your mileage on that may vary. I think it’s incontestable that it is impossible to govern well and effectively, while being in hock to these pantomime clowns.

"Reform would be worse" is both entirely correct and entirely irrelevant until polling day 2029. What matters right now is that Labour's approach is morally repugnant on its own terms, *and is empowering Reform*. As things stand today, its not Labour or Reform. Its Labour *then* Reform.
While it feels like I'm repeatedly slamming my head against a brick wall repeating this massively simple concept. Saying "Reform would be worse" doesn't make what Labour is doing better. Labour is now the most anti-immigration, anti-any marginalised group, government we have seen in decades. 1/

The leadership group responsible needs to be removed right now as a matter of public safety. This is simply a factual description of the situation before us.
Honestly, the potential case for getting rid of Starmer before was the lack of any political project and absence of charisma. But now No.10 is creating a moral imperative for the PLP to act as well.
