I know that time is an illusion, but I didn't realize that it had been a year and a half since I'd updated my Behance portfolio.

Everything about this is fantastic. It would seem that carters are a species of animal (that says "ó ó ó"), and infants are born in oyster shells, or possibly that's an infant oyster.
If you know anything about me at all, you'll understand why I find this delightful.

This is the kind of quality content I like to see.
It's the content you didn't know you needed: the A - Z of National Trust bums.

From Apollo's muscular behind to a porcelain figure of Zeus's derriere, we hope you enjoy 🍑

Quote this with a book you read way too young that explains why you are the way you are.

The Forgotten Beasts of Eld by Patricia McKillip and everything by Anne McCaffrey that I could get my hands on.

Flowers in the Attic.
Also, a lot of others.

I'll start: John Gardner's Grendel.

"Turn the Page" by Bob Seger. It isn't humanly possible for me to turn it off fast enough.
Anything by Wham! Absolutely anything by Wham! I am fine with George Michael's solo stuff, but Wham!'s self-regarding, ersatz "fun" Club 18-30 shittery makes me consider violence.
Fuck your favourite song. Tell me your least favourite song. The one that makes you die inside the moment you hear the first 3 seconds.

Muttering ‘ ᶠᵘᶜᵏⁱⁿᵍ ᶜʰʳⁱˢᵗ ‘ to yourself but you keep drawing anyway is actually so important to the artistic process

A new body of work by Andrew Salgado unfurls from a central premise: we are the books we read.

For this week's @spoonflower Palm Springs challenge, I wanted to do something reminiscent of the prints that were worn in its 60s heyday, using iconic images of the time. So we've got palm trees and cacti and breeze blocks, of course, plus big plastic beads and big teased hair.

May I offer you a cozy culinary pattern in these trying times? Both the French and Italian are available from Spoonflower in all four colors, if you like that sort of thing. #patterndesign #surfacepatterndesign

So many good ideas here.
So hey, let’s start off 2025 maybe making somebody’s life better in a small tangible way. What is a small practical thing—object, lifehack, whatever—that solved a small annoyance for you?

For me, did you know you can buy clips with elastic specifically to hold the corner of your fitted sheet on?

Today is for mezes puszedli, Hungarian soft gingerbread cookies with an egg white and powdered sugar glaze. I used a recipe I found online from a site called Kabi's Kitchen, just adding a pinch of salt and doubling the spices, and they turned out to be fantastic. 10/10 will make again.

Linzer cookies, both raspberry and lekvar, accomplished with hardly any swearing at all. I used the Joy of Cooking's recipe (aka the Viennese Crescents with a little lemon zest, rolled and cut out), which is very easy to work with, and extremely good.
