I've spent most of today working on this, a snowplough for my #3Dprintable Thomas locomotive. Its not finished yet but it will connect to the front of Thomas with the usual NEM socket. I look forward to printing this and getting it onto the model once complete. #modelrailway #3Ddesign #Blender
This is a birds eye view of the snowplough rendered in Blender. The reference for the design was taken from its appearances in the Thomas and Friends Model series. This is a straight on, front view of the snowplough attached to the front of Thomas. The plough is in the foreground shrouding the front of Thomas' Buffers and running board. This is a side shot of Thomas with the plough attached.

won't have em for this weekend, but i've been getting a few more people at my table than I'd like lately asking *very pointedly* if i drew everything myself, so i designed a new sticker this afternoon that will hopefully quell some of those concerns.

Recently I decided I wanted to take up #GameDev as a side hobby. Along with this I wanted to improve my #Blender skills and properly learn to 3D sculpt. This is a very early attempt I did yesterday. I didn't have much reference so please forgive me, its a little alien looking XD #3Ddesign

DCRC Lore: In January 1928, the F&A was given the opportunity to trial the Baldwin 60000 to see if it would fit in their roster. They used it on a single trip from Billings, MT to Minot, ND. Ultimately, it was decided that the 60000 was not a good fit for the F&A

The guys at the Kato stand were kind enough to let me have a play with their Duke prototype.

Sadly, he won't be coming to the UK market due to licensing agreements, but I'm sure plenty will find their way from Japan... 😄

I've just printed the prototype body shell for my #3Dprinted Thomas locomotive. Overall it fits really well over the chassis. I think the design process may be coming towards the end. You can also see the loco next to my #Clockwork version. #modelrailway #TTTE #Thomasandfriends
In the foreground is my 3D printed electric running Thomas locomotive sitting on some 00 gauge track. The body shell is very much a prototype and therefore is printed in a light orangey brown, and it is lacking many of its extraneous details. The body shell is attached to an 0-6-0 wheel config chassis 3D printed to my design. In the background is my 3D printed clockwork version of Thomas. This model is printed in a dark blue and has many of its details intact apart from a face or smokebox door. In the tank is a small hole cut to allow the key to be inserted to wind it up. The shot shows the birds eye view of the locomotive. From here you can see into the cab where the motor is on display. A lack of extra details like the cab roof, coal load or funnel are more prominent on this test print. This is a side shot of the Thomas locomotive on its own. A lack of buffers or a smokebox door are prominent from this angle. This shot is similar to the last however on the other side of the locomotive.
