This shit is why calls for "non-violent" demonstrations have always been a strategy to kneecap movements. The bar for "violent" now includes saying "Fuck ICE." Violence, to them, is anything that challenges systems of power.

Whenever we see shit like this we remember some throwaway Republican politician of yore declaring that "we spent millions to study Chinese dwarf hamsters" and then learning years later that the Chinese dwarf hamster ovary is the precursor to lifesaving autoimmune drugs one of us relies on to live.
The total NSF budget was 9 billion. I doubt they spend 89% of it on quail.
