I am interested in neurodivergent theologies and found a bunch of people on here to follow. I decided to turn that into a starter pack. Please suggest additions: i'm sure there are plenty of people I don't know about, plus many others like me joining the current Xodus wave.
I don’t think it would necessarily be rejected by all journals, and I’d sure as hell read it
Keir Starmer, Boris Johnson, & all in @teamlabouruk.bsky.social/Tories who voted for their aid cuts from from promised/cross-party 0.7% to 0.5% (BJ)/0.3% (KS) are complicit in these atrocities.

Article reports the least ambitious atrocity prevention plan was chosen specifically because of aid cuts.
Not only does the UK government waste vast sums of money on demonising those seeking asylum, now it appears that they are complicit in quite a number needing it in the first place. Choosing to save money over a genocide, again. #r4today

The importance of voting YES in the UCU national ballot.
📢some reasons:
The pay offer this year is a mere 1.4% but inflation is 3.8% which means our pay’s gone down since the recession of 2007-9 by 20-30% in real terms, depending on whether you use CPI or RPI measures.

Good afternoon, folks! Feeling in need of an afternoon pick-me-up? Why not get out and post your ballot! Nothing energizes quite like knowing you're contributing to the best chance we have to change HE!

Celebrate with your choice of snack afterwards! #WeAreTheUniversity
Bought some ice cream from the cornershop & posted my @ucu.org.uk ballot.

As my dept rep said this week, pensions took 5 years to win, we've got to be dogged & stubborn even when we're tired.

There's no way (higher) education will get better without education workers fighting for it

Calling all branch members: multi-union campus meeting 12:30-13:30 TODAY in The Ken Wade Lecture Theatre (Calman 203), to talk about our respective ballots and the ongoing state of affairs at our university.

Notable in today's YouGov that the centre/left bloc - Lab/Green/LD/SNP are on 54%. With Reform/Tories on 43%. That's the biggest differential in a long time.

I think useful to track blocs given instability between parties at the moment.

This is parody Keir Starmer but I wish the real Keir Starmer was a proficient enough communicator to say this

More nope on #ProfoundAutism: An Autistic person’s ALS was only diagnosed a couple of months before they died, as their symptoms of progressive muscle weakness & associated disability were assumed to be 'challenging behavior' due to being 'severely Autistic.'

Grave Concerns About Profound Autism
The label "Profound autism" bungles the support needs of autistic people with complex disabilities, and will endanger autistic lives.

#OtD 1 Nov 1936 the Jarrow marchers arrived in London. They had marched all the way from Jarrow in North-East England to protest hunger and unemployment as a result of the closure of the town's shipyard, which was the main employer in the area stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/8136...
I genuinely would love one
Can you see the problem that this is the first ten minute rule bill 99% of the country has ever heard of, and we hear about it in a context that Labour is abstaining on protecting the world’s best international instrument for protecting human rights, and almost let a vote against it pass?
You’ve replied to a specific comment but show no signs of having taken on board the point the person made in that comment.
My goodness, every single decision the Labour leadership make is strategically the worst possible thing for themselves and the best possible thing for Farage. Glad they relented.

This is where decades of denial about the systemic nature of racism and only calling it such in its most extreme occurrences take you

This is not (just) Farage being disingenuous, but him using all the journalists, politicians and academics who have euphemised racism to mainstream his politics
Pity Labour won’t attack them on it because
a) they think, despite all experience to the contrary, that they win voters by attacking migrants, not defending us
b) they themselves have basically the same attitude towards disabled people
It’s despicable & anti-Christian. It represents worship of the nation ahead of worshiping Christ in the poor, hungry, thirsty, unclothed, sick, imprisoned, stranger. How many of the people Jesus hung around with, & valued, would be deported under this plan?
Worse, it’s plausible Labour will copy it.
Or just consider the policy and how many of the people Jesus hung around with and valued would have been deported, or be orphaned by deportation, under this policy
And if you think that description is harsh, read the quote at the end it this thread
It says something that I had to go look it up to check if this worshipper of nation, not Christ, is from Reform, Labour, or the Tories
The Established Church needs to find a voice on this kind of dehumanising depiction of men, women and children who have come to our country, being spilled all over the place to say the only thing that has human value is a salary above £38k and thst any foreigner who ever earns less must get out
