Horror movies almost never get under my skin, but Lake Mungo sure did. Time to go lie sleepless in the dark while waves of existential dread wash over me.

Finally found time to check out Great Council State Park, which also happens to be located not far from where I live. It’s a beautiful tribute to the Shawnee people, and I highly recommend visiting if you’re ever in the Dayton/Xenia/Yellow Springs area! ohiodnr.gov/go-and-do/pl...

I didn’t realize until we were there that this museum is next door to William Tecumseh Sherman’s birthplace! Rushed over for a tour but it was too late in the day :-(

I haven’t eaten one in years, but back when Subway was still cheap, I would eat a footlong meatball sub slathered in extra sauce, yellow mustard, and pickles at least a couple times a month

Located in a beautiful old house, Cincinnati’s Taft Museum of Art has a small but mighty collection of mostly 19C and earlier works. Worth spending an hour to visit if you’re in the area (especially on free-admission Sundays and Mondays).
“The Cobbler’s Apprentice” — Frank Duveneck “Pick-a-Back” — Jozef Israels “An Old Toper” — Adriaen van Ostade “Portrait of a Man Rising from His Chair” — Rembrandt van Rijn

Have I been pronouncing “Dr. Jekyll” wrong my entire life? Watching the movie from 1931 and all the other characters are calling him Jee-kle and not Jeh-kle.

I bet William Howard Taft was a great hang
Close-up of a William Howard Taft portrait by Joaquin Sorolla y Bastida. It’s displayed at the Taft Museum of Art in Cincinnati and portrays Taft with a jolly twinkle in his eye and a charming smile under his ‘stache.

The first two seasons of Dark Winds were good, but the third really takes the show to a new level. Highly recommended!

Even better the second time around! (despite an unfortunate IMAX setback)

start telling your friends and family now that CBS is no longer reliable, because I'm still explaining how Newsweek was hollowed out by Republican ghouls and that deal was like a decade ago

Matthew 15:29-31: And great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and they put them at his feet, and he healed them after verifying their citizenship status.
