@nature.com I love this article - but WHY are the only share options to X and Facebook when the whole point of the article is that science-based posts get more shares here?

Outrageous. Britain is being sued in a corporate court, for stopping the Cumbria coal mine.

We’ve been saying for years that this system of corporate courts (ISDS) is an obstacle to climate action and democratic politics. Now it couldn’t be clearer

Cùis nàire.
Given everything that has happened on Twitter/X in the last 2 years it is astonishing that the govt hasn’t even reviewed its use of the platform
Oh, this is good: Lib Dem peer @markpackuk.bsky.social asked the Government "whether they have considered creating a Gov.uk account on Bluesky, and if so, when that consideration took place, and what the outcome was."

The answer reveals that Govt use of X hasn't been reviewed since April 2023...

Climate breakdown is an "urgent existential threat” and countries have a legal obligation to act, the International Criminal Court has ruled.

We can already see the huge cost of inaction as heatwaves, droughts, floods and wildfires sweep the UK. There's no time left for excuses.
Huge news from the International Court of Justice in the Hague – the start of a new era of climate accountability

The court confirms that states are obliged to act on the climate crisis, and that the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment is fundamental for all other human rights

While Trump throws everything he can to distract from the Epstein scandal, the focus on this neo-fascist kakistocracy by every mainstream media outlet (except Fox) distracts us from the ongoing collapse of civilization and sixth great extinction.

Sad for every living thing.

Very cool that every Congressional Democrat and progressive organization is still on the neo-Nazi website!

I count 49 news headlines on the NYT mobile app home page right now, not including opinion, sports or cooking. None of them are about the massive protests yesterday.
