I'm not sure what these "These ICE agents are out of control and we demand they take off their masks!!" people think will dramatically change if they conform to that rule. Yes, it would be good if they weren't wearing masks, but I would be very surprised if it radically altered their behavior.

This is EXACTLY it. I cannot understand why Dem support for DHS violence when they are in power, as well as cop cities in reaction to the 2020 uprisings and broad support of genocide and general militarism allows anyone to believe otherwise.
