Anne Frank & Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. were born in 1929. Viola Fletcher, who just died this week, was already 15 when they were born.

But while we were just with Ms. Fletcher days ago, Anne Frank & Dr King are portrayed as ancient history.

Remember, "The past is never dead. It's not even past.”

Every year I order Stoutzilla at this time and their special barrel aged brew. Last year it was Stoutzilla barrel aged in cognac casks, this year it’s King Conka barrel aged in rum casks.
The Stoutzilla cans will be sampled this weekend, but I’ll be saving King Conka for Christmas 🎅🏼 #Beer #Unbarred

The Trumpetfish is such a ridiculous looking creature, they always make me smile. They are masters of color change as well, shading from brown, reddish, orange, and bright yellow. They often drift head-down like this, especially when hanging out in clumps of soft coral. 🦑 #scuba #diving #oceans

The rules of the road in Ireland say you have to leave the outside lane if you are not overtaking.

This as written would make the inside lane too full and cause traffic jams.

The situation with school places for kids with additional needs in Ireland is a moral calamity. Parents who already have so much going on forced to do tons of assessments & applications, then insufficient home tutoring & suing HSE in high court when they can't get places. Shame on us

Just found a newspaper from 2002, which was given to me the day my youngest was born by the hospital as a keepsake. The paper cost 35 cents. Below the fold was an article about Gaza. It was about a terror attack inside Israel committed by Hamas. This has been happening for 8 decades.

Maybe the next generation will set its sights on solving systemic problems instead of “My burrito is at a restaurant, but I’m all cozy here so, can a guy with a medical degree from another country bring it to me.” We’ve got that covered, and then some.

Bean Garda has been banned in Ireland however.
When do Irish words become English language words? When they are in the English dictionary?
The BBC style guide says not to use Garda but to use an English word. But garda is in my English dictionary www.bbc.co.uk/newsstylegui...

On this day 49 years ago, #SexPistols released their debut single, "Anarchy in the U.K."

Released as 7″ only, and originally in a plain black sleeve, before being reissued in a standard #EMI sleeve after initial copies mis-credited production of the b-side to Chris Thomas instead of Dave Goodman.

This is the thing to hang onto - I’m glad people are appalled by Farage’s Nazi sympathies now, but the fact is, he was able to present TV programmes and constantly appear as a sofa guest for decades, booked by people who knew it all. We must reckon with that.
Evidence of Farage’s unabashed youthful racism has been in the public domain since at least 2013, yet somehow he has been allowed to remain part of the British political conversation. The fact he wasn’t driven back under a rock years ago has emboldened racists across the country to spread hatred.
