If this person who burned a synagogue had cited the Quran in defending their antisemitic attack, we'd be reading dozens of news stories about Islamic extremism. Since he cited the Book of Revelation, the media really needs to connect this to extremist forms of white Christianity.

The thing is that empirics don’t matter for racism. Doesn’t matter ultimately if it’s the shooter who is Muslim or the savior or if both are. If those intent on our destruction cared about the facts we wouldn’t be here.

When your asylum policy is based on "the cruelty is the point," but immigrants are load-bearing in your social welfare system, there will of course be a "find out" moment.

Tbh this is why the talking point of "there are 2 million Arab citizens in Israel, and they're treated equally and with respect!" always boils my blood. Any cursory examination of the history Bedouin Palestinians in Israel will show you immediately why this is not true.

“The New York Times doesn’t think a couple of emails is newsworthy” they think you’re stupid.
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.
