I actually love that the Maxwell House Haggadah began in 1932 as a marketing campaign to educate people that coffee isn’t kitniyot.
Marketing? Indeed.
Public education? You bet!

To be fair, the new Ultimate line has that too. Ultimate X-Men seems custom tailored to Gen-Z/older Gen-Alpha in the best way possible. It's admittedly going from a persecuted minority allegory to a strictly puberty allegory, but the very different cultural perspective makes it work. Check it out

I think this sums up my feelings nicely. The Dragon's Dogma 2 microtransactions are absolutely problematic, and I'm more hesitant about it now, but the discussion is being really reductive right now, intentionally or otherwise.

The fast travel system was the same in the original, just without the ability to buy Ferrystones. Admittedly, that was a decade ago, and it sounds like DD2 is SIGNIFICANTLY bigger. I'll still probably try the game, just not at launch price.
