@rufusgifford.bsky.social thank you for love of country and sanity. How you are now, and have, represented the United States is what is so needed.

Listening to Hagar Chemali on @11thhourmsnow.bsky.social and I just can’t get behind what she’s arguing. She can’t articulate the admins plan so unsure how she is so sure of its potential success.

@morningjoe-msnow.bsky.social let me know when your “woman” segment includes a few classroom teachers or analysts who sit in cubicles because my interest in your CEO’s, who I’m guessing didn’t vote for the lady, is a waste of my limited band width. Thank you.

1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

We tried to show them after the last surrender. There's no sense in trying to convince them anymore. Primaries are the only path to a fighting opposition party now.

SHUTDOWN TAKEAWAY: send home as many federal employees as you want, cut off people's food stamps, let health care system career towards a cliff, but don't mess with air travel, especially with holidays looming.

Important to understand this. There's a reasonable chance that your Dem Senator who voted against it and is acting mad now was in on the play. It's the same reason why they scheduled the surrender for AFTER the election this week. They didn't want people pissed at Dems right before an election.
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)

This is the moderate wing of Democratic Party in a nutshell.
Trump is 30 points underwater. Dems swept the special elections. People know the GOP is responsible for the shutdown. So the Dem Senators pulled out their big guns... and shot themselves in the foot.

if the Democrats are willing to accept this deal, in particular, i don't think a single Senator should make it through their primary. this just makes health inequity worse and lets Trump send out checks with his name on them!

That involves sending federal money into FSAs instead of insurance companies" www.wsj.com/politics/pol...
Republicans Pitch Alternative to ACA Extension to End Government Shutdown
A proposal by GOP senators to send money directly to consumers’ health accounts rather than to insurance companies showed signs of breaking a stalemate on negotiations.

I am NOT donating to the DNC or DLCC until the leadership stands up to Trump; the party doesn't cave into his demands. What part of "he's on the ropes now" does the party leadership not get. Cave in again and the party has once again lost credibility. DO NOT CAVE; compromise to our strengths.
