Heartbreakingly, despite our best efforts, today the Government of Alberta was able to bring an end to the injunction against Bill 26 on the basis of its use of the notwithstanding clause.

On this Trans Day of Remembrance, I hope Albertans will remember that trans kids and teens are living breathing humans who just want to be themselves, without fear of hate and discrimination. Demonizing kids merely to score political points in some weird culture war is craven and cruel.

It’s so dry at our farm/east of Edmonton. Most - if not all - sloughs/waterbodies have dried out. So stressful for everyone! I was quite surprised to see this beaver in the dugout. Glad they found some water, much to the chagrin of the neighbourhood muskrat
