Super run! I feel so much better now. I really mustn’t fall into the trap of telling myself I don’t have time to exercise over the next few busy weeks

Incredibly useful training but my eyes and brain are fried now. I’m going to go for a short run to reset before it comes round to dinner time. I’m feeling a little stressed about having to work tomorrow and I need to keep a check on that - and running’s the best way I know how

This training is so very good!

Well it definitely needed the seasoning

Hello! I’m in external training today with @christinaqdas.bsky.social refreshing my memory about using NVivo and learning more about reflexive thematic analysis. All very useful stuff and I’ve got some pointers for reading as I begin to contemplate my methodology chapter #PhDSky #PhDChat

One of the things about this study is that a lot of baby and toddler books are written in house, by editors. So the study reveals the whiteness of editorial in kidlit even if not explicitly. But, big picture, this trend is unacceptable. I remember so many promises www.theguardian.com/books/2025/o...

My train was already 20 minutes late, now we’ve just been informed that we’ll be held at the next station for 25 minutes. I haven’t had much luck with the trains in the past 7 days.

My thoughts on job advisers in GP surgeries. As you might guess, I'm not a fan.
Will make anxious patients worse. How about incentivising employers instead of telling patients to try harder.

I already knew the principles of good slide design but I now know my way around PowerPoint much more thoroughly and feel like I can do a better, more professional job for my next presentation. Very satisfied. Now for lunch at the M&S cafe. How’s your day going?

Well the new campus is lovely and very we’re-equipped. Two things of note about the training were that the room was double booked, and nobody turned up except me. So we moved to a small cosy meeting room and I had the trainer’s undivided attention for two hours!

Can report new campus and training session both top notch!

Hope your med review goes well. The new campus is lovely, very spacious and well-equipped. The bus dropped me off quite close to the building I needed so it was easy to find

Good morning! Another attempt at getting to the university for training. So far my train is on time. Today I’m scheduled to go to the much newer campus that I’ve never been to before, exciting. Have a great day whatever you do

I've got a student who would love to do some #PhD research on #TouretteSyndrome and the dismantling of the invisible/visible disability binary. Is there anyone in my network in the UK who is accepting #SocialScience PhD students / sponsoring them for #ESRC funding?

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

“Frog,” asked Toad, “was that a true story?”

“Maybe it was and maybe it wasn’t,” said Frog.

Absolutely! Perfectly nutritious. Some nights are just not for cooking
