Breaking news: President Trump filed a lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase and its CEO, alleging the bank improperly closed his accounts in 2021 and blacklisted him and his family from doing business with the firm.

He's seeking at least $5 billion in damages.

I'll say yet again: Trump & his party do something virtually every day that constitutes a more violent & alarming suppression of speech than anything that happened during the entire alleged tyranny of woke. Every day. Yet the entire Free Spech army has just vanished into mist.
I wrote on the shameful situation re: the recession of a deanship to Emily Suski at the University of Arkansas Law. What was the reason? Prof. Suski signed an amicus brief supporting trans rights. The Arkansas legislators admitted that was it! Horrible outcome. ballsandstrikes.org/legal-cultur...

This is breaking the contract between states and the federal government. It shouldn't be controversial at all to suggest soft secession over it. I feel like that's a pretty moderate position when the federal government rakes in tax revenue, but refuses to disburse it.

and yet the damage inflicted on US political and economic credibility will long out last Trump's departure
correct
I'd just add I don't think the crisis is at all over, because Trump never sticks to agreements just because they're conventionally considered binding. The crisis will only be over when his regime is dislodged from Washington, if then.

Would be nice to know who in Trump's circle profited from the predictable (if you had inside information) fall and rise in the stockmarket!!! thieves & cheats everyone of them!!!
lol is the “deal” that the United States gets what it currently gets, but everyone gives Trump a shiny object so that he’ll be distracted?
Trump: "Based upon a very productive meeting I had with Mark Rutte, we have formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic Region. This solution, if consummated, will be a great one... Based upon this understanding, I will not be imposing the Tariffs"

Ice storms are worse than snow storms. This is counterintuitive to people who did not grow up in cold climates but it is 100% true. Ice is more dangerous to drive on, is more likely to bring down large tree limbs and powerlines, and is more difficult to see on the roads and clear from the roads.
I just looked at what our local weather guys are saying and realized that a lot of the South is supposed to get ice.

Guys, take this very, very seriously. You do not mess around with ice and you absolutely do not leave the house during or after an ice storm if it isn't an emergency.

Pro tip:

Social media posts do not represent a person’s due process to prove their innocence under the law.

My God.
After Sauer says Lisa Cook "was given an opportunity" to respond to the allegations, KBJ asks whether that due process was: "She supposed to post about it, and that was the opportunity to be heard?"

Yes, Sauer replies.
