I have now seen the first two episodes of Pluribus, and I will most definitely be checking out the third episode next week. I went in knowing exactly nothing at all about what to expect, which seems to be the ideal way to approach it. Well worth checking out.

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

I feel like we have the opportunity to turn David Lynch's quote into this moment's "Keep Calm and Carry On" and it's a far better rallying cry too.

Very, very few comic book creators can survive on just the money they make from comics. It is an inherently unstable job and it is only getting worse as time goes on. Don't ever be embarrassed or ashamed of needing another job so that you can keep making comics.

My mom got me into Trek when I was a kid and most Trek fans I know/ encounter are women. And the lead of my Star Trek show was a woman, as was the captain of the ship. So shut the fuck up.

Finally had a chance to watch 28 Years Later last night, and I liked it a lot. Some truly fantastic performances from the cast, beautifully shot and edited, with real emotion and scary bits to boot. Looking forward to the follow up The Bone Temple in January.

I know what all you Blueskyers want: a 🧵 about guns!
Ok, a 🧵 specifically about the cosmetic modifications done to many Western movie guns to make one model of gun look like another & the historical reasons behind those changes.
If you're not into Western minutiae you might want to turn back now

wikipedia's data shows that AI is siphoning traffic away from the site, which is a danger to its sustainability. ironically Wikipedia is more important than ever to users who want reliable information instead of slop, and to AI companies that need it for training data www.404media.co/wikipedia-sa...

There’s been a lot of well-deserved appreciation for Drew Struzan’s iconic theatrical art, but I’d like to also celebrate the art he did for @carolekingofficial.bsky.social’s 1973 album FANTASY. It has such a sublime warmth and personality to it, and it’s the perfect gateway to a great album.

Humanoids has a Paris branch & a Los Angeles branch. The LA branch is closing, but Paris (while also in a French version of Ch.11) is staying.
