I blocked some folks recently for this “punitive policies against regions I don’t like, but leftistly” bullshit. It’s a bad look, and it’s shit morals. The job of a government is to provide basic services for all of its citizens. That includes mail delivery & roads and should include health care.
This is where sometimes the extreme pro-urbanism people lose me. Pricing postal service at cost to remote areas is the same as removing postal service to remote areas, which is the same as killing remote areas. The positive argument for universal postal service is universal postal service.
