Read this. It's important
I’ve spent a lot of the last three years investigating the rise of anti-trans politics. Often, it came back to the controversy over trans women athletes.

So I teamed up with @pablo.show to look into the leading figure on the issue: Riley Gaines.

How right-wing superstar Riley Gaines built an anti-trans empire
The swimmer tied a trans woman for fifth. The MAGA industrial complex took care of the rest.

It's almost as if the left are peaceful and the right are aggressive even though the right try and claim it's the other way around.
Marjorie Taylor Greene has been hated by the left for years and never feared for her life. She’s been hated by the right for two days and had to hire security.

The generative AI bubble is a pump and dump scam
Some of you point out that the big players have used various tricks to keep their own $ safe. True.

That's why we need to think about how to prosecute them for fraud.

Those bubble-inflating claims - AI will cure all disease! end climate change! double lifespans! - are essentially Theranos X 1000.
The AI bubble may be about to bust.

Peter Thiel has sold all of his Nvidia stock.

We all need to say this very clearly:

NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH!

Expropriate their asses instead.

They stole from all of us and fully plan to burn the planet.

They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3

Crypto currency is a scam, a bubble and a vehicle for crime and any profit made on bitcoin relies entirely on tricking someone into buying it. That's why they act like a cult, to make money they need to convince YOU it will keep going up in value. Some coins are obvious scams but they are ALL scams.
If you need me, tap me on the shoulder. I’ll be happily working all day listening to this on a loop.

There is an old Radiolab podcast about an elderly couple hit with ransomware payable in crypto currency. The elderly woman says, "I didn't know what bitcoin was so I looked it up. The first definition is, 'A currency predominantly used to pay ransomware.' "

I just heard the author Richard Morgan had been vocal in support of JKR on anti-trans stuff. I was super disappointed and went to check. The first result that came up was Morgan exhorting people to look up the good work of Glinner on the subject, so absolutely fuck that guy. Just FYI.

Why aren't we collectively punching these Nazis?

It's always OK to punch Nazis because, you know, they are Nazis

Around 60 men attended a protest at NSW parliament organised by the Neo-Nazi group National Socialist Network on Saturday. Without masks, it gave the ABC the opportunity to identify some of them.

Authors read this and beware.
Authors, Beware! There's a firm called "ClaimsHero" doing aggressive social media outreach claiming to
"help" you file to get $ in the Anthropic class action. In fact, it's a bait-and-switch, they are luring authors to sign up with them, then OPTING THEM OUT of the class action so they'll get zilch.

Yep.
Transphobia is a pipeline to the far right. An example:

Suzanne Moore used to be a left wing columnist at the Guardian.

Then came the anti-trans panic. Despite the Guardian also promoting it, it wasn’t enough & she left.

Moore is now complaining about wokeness over the Irish famine & colonialism.
Suzanne Moore, who would rather be locked up than pay her BBC licence fee because the BBC is too nice to trans people for her liking.

This article, and the case it reports, is disturbing but what really bothers me is that a woman in her 60s broke the law and committed fraud to have her 14th and 15th child using donor embryos and surrogacy and the article doesn't ask if she might be mentally unwell.
