Absolutely disgraceful 👇 - Labour's manifesto promised NHS would be "publicly owned and publicly funded"

Openly now ripping off patients for generations to come

Even the Conservative government said "goodbye to PFI"

Outrageous, unjustifiable, wrong
"Part of this will be capital funding we've allocated into the primary care estate.. & some of it, we're working with the private sector as part of a private sector partnership to fund the rest of them"

Minister Karin Smyth on how the new walk in health centres will be funded

Jury trials could be scrapped except in most serious cases
Only cases of alleged murder, rape or manslaughter will be decided by a jury under new proposals to cut court backlogs.

Reforms Flagship Kent County Council has been so inefficient with money (despite much publicised DOGE visit) they have had to ask the opposition to help them find savings🤦🏼‍♂️

Plus they will put Council Tax up and cut services..

So Reforms claim they saved £331 million is complete & utter bollox❗️🙄😡
Reform UK claim to have saved £331m at English councils – but do the numbers stack up?
Experts say councils face limits on cuts as Reform’s savings on IT deals, office moves and EV projects are disputed

'Nursing leaders told the Guardian the plans were “immoral” and treated highly skilled migrants as “political footballs”. They said a mass exodus of nurses would threaten patient safety'.

Combine this with the number of UK universities shrinking or closing their nursing programmes....

What the Home Sec announced today is not the politics of compromise but of being compromised.

Labour has just increased the salience of an issue they will always be outbid on by the right.
@pimlicat.bsky.social: "Multiple studies show that ramping up ever-harsher rhetoric on immigration and asylum never wins over Reform-curious voters. The government would be wiser to make the case for the international institutions and protections we all depend on.”

Can't wait for the wall-to-wall media coverage of What This Means, the endless thinkpieces about Green Party dominance in a working class community meaning Labour has to take their concerns seriously and pivot towards them, you know like we'd get if Reform had won.
