The list of states rejecting the DOJ’s demands for unredacted voter rolls continues to grow — and the latest addition is West Virginia.

Secretary of State Kris Warner called the department’s attempt to acquire voters’ private data "unlawful," refusing to hand over the requested information.
‘DOJ doesn’t have authority to run a state’s elections’: West Virginia’s GOP election chief pushes back on voter roll grab
“State law is clear: voter lists are available in a redacted format from my office, but I'll not be turning over any West Virginian's protected information,” Secretary of State Kris Warner said in a s...

This is so fucking stupid. Republicans are the criminals. You’re asking criminals to join you in stopping crimes. Your framing implies it’s just Trump when it’s not. You’re actively helping a bunch of fascists rehab their image.

NEW: In a letter to GOP congressional leaders, six Democratic secretaries of state characterized the voter suppressive MEGA and SAVE America Acts as an invitation for chaos in election administration.

“A series of sweeping overhauls…is not a serious effort at improving the democratic process.”

“American voters will be the ones paying for this — by paying more in taxes, spending more time jumping through bureaucratic hoops, or losing access to the ballot box altogether.”

I’m still angry at Dems for going after TikTok while doing nothing about Facebook or X. But they have a chance to rede themselves by requiring all private companies to delete all facial recognition data & bam them from collecting it. There’s no legit reason for any private co to have this info.
There's a real "let's do everything they told us we couldn't" thing going on at Meta now. The facial recognition glasses bring to mind an old story I haven't seen mentioned today: Facebook built a feature like this a decade ago and didn't release it www.businessinsider.com/facebook-bui...

Trumpism and RFK Jr, its crazed witch doctor, are dragging us all back into the Dark Ages. And we are, all of us, yawning at the spectacle.
In terms of what cures are being lost:

- Epstein-Barr virus is perhaps the major trigger for multiple sclerosis
- herpes simplex virus causes cold sores, genital herpes, infections in babies, deadly meningitis
- shingles virus causes an intensely painful disease

Sounds about white
I'm all for pardons and second chances. But it's a hell of a juxtaposition to pardon millionaire NFL players convicted of drug distribution while you're summarily executing impoverished fishermen making a few hundred bucks to shuttle drugs around the Caribbean.

Dissent is the most American thing there is. The republic was born in it.

Donald Trump has proven himself to be the most anti-American leader to grasp the reins of power.

Vought and Musk are mass murderers and should face the requisite punishment in this life and the next but Rubio’s role in enabling and facilitating the dissolution of USAID is equally evil.

That this isn’t considered the great crime of our lifetimes is just a global shame.
As a direct result of the obscene actions of Russell Vought and Elon Musk in destroying USAID, we can expect “at least 9.4 million additional deaths by 2030, if the current funding trend continues.

About 2.5 million of those deaths are projected to be children under the age of 5.”
