Shot at Clare Castle Country Park in February 2025 this female mallard with her beautifully patterned light and dark brown plumage is perfectly reflected in the water of the moat Taken in March 2020 this beautiful little black and white bird is foraging for insects on the roof of an extension to our house. It's tail is as long as it's body and it does indeed wag it !

I chose this one because this is a place that I had long wished to visit, in May 2025 I finally made it. This is the Isle of Staffa, which is just off the coast of Mull. The photo shows the massive basalt columns that the island is famous for and 'Boat Cave' (one of several caves on the island including the world famous Fingal's Cave). On the horizon and island called 'The Dutchman's Cap can just be made out.
