Previously unknown (and partially damaged) letter by James Connolly, written in 1896. I rediscovered it earlier this year in the National Library, unsigned but in his highly distinctive handwriting. It'll be published in the next volume of his writings, which will be out next year.

Last of the corrections for vol. II of Connolly's writings, The Complete Shorter Works. Got the file back from the editor last week and working through the formatting continuity for the footnotes (Chicago). I dont know what release slot I'll get next year but hoping for late spring/early summer.

Less than 3% of land in Ireland is built upon - and that includes all housing, premises, roads, airports, railways and motorways. It supports 5 million people. Meanwhile around 62% of all land is given over to supporting 12 million livestock. If "Ireland is full" it's of cattle not people...
