I once debated a right-wing media figure on a television programme who described my attempt to provide some historical background as 'Marxist rhetoric.' Defenders of this system and its crimes always regard context with a mix of fear and loathing and here's an example of why.

Anybody in #Halifax know of a pilates studio BESIDES Synergy, Rio, or the Pilates Barre that offers towers/springboards? (PB's closing this month, Synergy cancelled the evening springboard class I was in, and I have a pass for Rio/RStudios but I can never get off the waitlist for towers. #Halisky

Fred Flentstone stands, hands on his hips, looking incredulously at Barney Rubble, who is at the corner of the panel barely visible. He appears to wearing tiny sunglasses.
"C'mon Barn, what's with the getup? and what is that on your head?" Fred asks.
"oh this, Fred?"
We now see Barney is also wearing a black trench coat and smoking a cigarette. A small bird is taped to the side of his head. "Just the latest in cybernetic enhancement technology- wired right into my brain."

On one hand, the inevitable AI bubble burst will crater computer parts prices, and we'll be able to grab graphics cards from dead data centers for pennies on the dollar.

On the other, it's 17x larger than the dotcom bubble, and according to Deutsche Bank, the only thing propping up the US economy.
