We should probably refer to people in Canada who sympathize with ICE and the U.S. Admin as fascist traitors. Like, when I say "we," I mean everyone. Politicians, media, educators, etc. We need to stop pretending it's just a quaint opinion to support concentration camps & state-sponsored murders.

🚨Unusual and alarming! 3 active & 50 latent TB cases at Riordan high, and counting. When a well-resourced school sees this level of spread, it’s a siren for our public health infrastructure everywhere. Hoping for speedy containment & recovery. 🙏🏾

I think a lot about what it means to have predatory men and their apologists, in charge of major global and national spaces

What agendas were advanced, what decisions made, what issues prioritized, because these men thought women weren't human?

exactly this. they don't recognize the individual humanity of children.
I think there is a noticeable overlap in these people because the concept at root is “children are the property of adults and not full persons in their own right”
Nicholas Christakis is yet another person who's talked about the dangers of trans rights for the youth who just happens to be in cahoots with a transnational child abuse ring

🧵 Is Canadian police contracts with the same online surveillance companies used by ICE… anything?
Here’s a $75,000 contract Hootsuite sold to Calgary police for social media surveillance in 2023.
Not sure why anyone would be interested in that though.

One of like 7 fascists who showed up in our city only to find over 50 antifascists occupying the space and pushing them out to me as he walked off, a defeated coward: "What even _are_ you?"

Me, megaphone pointed directly at his face at full volume, unphased: "Pretty"

Toronto: “Bowmore families have been advocating for more [special education] supports and instead the TDSB is removing the staff who know the kids best.”

What a disaster. Admins often make decisions about school structure that just don't work. I hope the union can fight this.
The TDSB has suspended 8 teachers at one school without pay. Why?
Bowmore Road Public School has recently lost its principal, vice-principal and two teachers after a heated parent meeting in which some alleged a rise in school violence

As other people, who are more knowledgeable than I am about these things, have pointed out, road design also encourages bad driving. Drivers on Gottingen (Novalea) regularly act like its a highway. I'm really concerned about safety when SJAM finally opens.

This is all an FU to anyone who doesn't have a car. This all proliferates car ownership and declining affordability of living in this city
Recommended to save teeny tiny amounts of money:

-Reduce Transit Stop Snow Standards to 48 hours
-Eliminate the large item pickup on trash day
-Eliminate all sidewalk & accessibility ramp clearing outside the core
