Leaked consultant's report at Queen's University points to a push to massively downsize the humanities and social sciences as well as the eradication of disciplinary based departments. I wouldn't be surprised if my university has the same consultants.

This is all an FU to anyone who doesn't have a car. This all proliferates car ownership and declining affordability of living in this city
Recommended to save teeny tiny amounts of money:

-Reduce Transit Stop Snow Standards to 48 hours
-Eliminate the large item pickup on trash day
-Eliminate all sidewalk & accessibility ramp clearing outside the core

I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people.

But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.
The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

I remember being around five when my mother first explained residential schools to me and that my stepfather had been imprisoned at one as a child; possibly five, I never got the precise ages from him. Colonial violence is generational and ongoing and its targets both the same and expanding.
my son is five, same age as Liam Ramos. you don't need to have a child the same age to be fucking horrified by the violence we are doing (and HAVE BEEN doing) upon immigrant children in this nation. but that he keeps asking for his spidey backpack is the kind of detail that rips my heart in two.
