A gentle reminder this holiday season to include your neurodivergent family members in a way that doesn’t punish them for being easily overwhelmed by gatherings, noise, and irregular foods. Needing to retreat is not something they’re doing to you or showing ingratitude! They’re just built different.

If you’re low on spoons but still want a holiday meal this coming Thursday, as long as you have no aversion/allergies to instant or boxed foodstuff, I present to you my own tradition: Trashgiving. It’s just all-instant sides served on paper plates with a premade pie for dessert. You’re welcome!
