Favreau I don't think WANTS to "run a studio," is the sense that I get.
I'm honestly LESS a fan of Filoni's output, by personal preference, because I just find the ENTIRE Prequel/CloneWars/etc "era" to be kind of blah and self-serious; but he's obviously GOOD at running an outfit...

I agree with this 100% but my hottest take is that Dave is actually this guy because he’s learned it from George. Everyone thinks he is not this guy because JF isn’t but they have been together because their opposites. Everything he does is about risk and I think JF is done after the movie
My "Star Wars"/Lucasfilm leadership take is I don't care what projects anyone in charge has made. If that ship is going to fly, whoever runs it needs to have or discover the alchemy both Feige and now Gunn did re: love for the material, understanding for the audience and CONTEMPT for the fanboys 😉
